WARNING! There are 2 types of websites, those that allow you use your own credit card processor, and those that require you to choose one of theirs.

The latter could cost you a lot more in processing fees unless your average tickets are under $10.00, including tax and shipping!


WHY? Processors like Stripe, Square, Paypal, etc. charge a high fixed percentage and sometimes a transaction fee. This high percentage, Flat Rate pricing, means you don’t get the benefit of paying the low, wholesale costs that the processors pay.

 means a system that doesn’t accept Authorize.net and also doesn’t allow integration with outside processors. Proprietary also means your website company is making money on your credit card processing as well, thus locking you into whichever processor THEY decide to use or change to over time.  More importantly, while some may offer a discount on high volume websites, its still a fixed rate.
